Many decades ago (1996?) while making tutorials on using Lightwave 3D in a video magazine called ‘LightSpeed The Video Magazine for the Lightwave Enthusiast”, I had a conversation with Manny Coats, the brains behind the magazine. We were editing each VHS magazine at my place, using the Video Toaster and 3/4 tapes machines etc. I loved it, although Many wanted to do it nonlinear and bought a computer along with something called Razor I believe to edit the video himself. The magazine died shortly soon after – sadly. But our conversation circled around me making a CD of background music for Amiga users of royalty free songs that could be used in their videos. So, I did. I was getting better at using Bars and Pipes Professional, midi software unique to the Amiga and just about the best midi software on any platform, way ahead of it’s time. During this time I decided to call it Volcano Music Production, (I know, clever, huh?) and the rest is history. I even used some tunes in my video tutorials. I will probably upload my tutorials here for nostalgia. They are quite tame by today’s standards of course.
In the meantime, you can download the tunes below and use them in your videos with the following conditions. You attribute me as the author/writer/composer or Volcano Music in your production, either in the video or the print. I know, it’s a lot to ask, but I’m not getting any younger and I want my dog and mom’s cat (I inherited the cat) to be proud of me someday.
